Welcome to the world of Spöön Fazer!

This lost electronic artist released a highly sought after self-released 7” single in 1980 - Music 2 Dance 2 - and an equally sought after 12” EP called Sunset on Illuminated Records in 1982. Both are now collectors items and showcase Spööns unique music style that blended together art rock, drum machines and wondrous washes of synthesisers and other instrumentation.

As a performance artist Spöön Fazer strutted the stage over 30 times at venues ranging from the famous New Romantic haunt the Blitz Club to the Mind, Body and Spirit Festival at Olympia. He would either appear solo or with his back up band the In-Sect.

It is with great pleasure that OM Swagger bring you a collection of Spöön Fazer material curated by Spöön himself from his personal tape archive. As well as tracks like Do Different Dances and Beat Dance Drumming that appeared on those hard to find recordings, Spöön also serves up tracks recorded and mixed but never released like Fall In Love With The East, Dancing In London, Samurai Dance Party, Kyoto and Michael, Row The Boat Ashore on this fantastic 13 track vinyl LP Alternative Regression Therapy.

Spöön’s musical career that started on a drum stool for punk band Whippets From Nowhere and moved to his one-man crusade to enrich the cosmos with the music of Spöön Fazer! Spöön should have given Fad Gadget, The Human League and Gary Numan a run for their money. Spöön even turned down the opportunity to become the drummer for the Thompson Twins.
